A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH VIDNA OBMANA
Vidna Obmana is Belgian ambient composer Dirk Serries. A disciple of Steve Roach, Vidna Obmana works his own techno-tribal designs mixing synthesizers with organic instruments including the Eastern European fujara flute. Vidna Obmana comes by the Echoes Living Room for a rare live performance.

BRUCE KAPHAN: SLIPPING AND SLIDING
Bruce Kaphan plays the pedal steel guitar, but you won't hear him putting licks on Nashville country & western records. Instead, he's been playing with rock groups like American Music Club, REM and Sting. On his solo debut, SLIDER (Hearts of Space), he creates the definitive ambient pedal steel guitar album exploiting the instruments penchant for singing sustains and mournful bends. We journey to Bruce Kaphan's studio where he slides us out into space.

German guitarist Peter Finger isn't well known in this country except among guitarists where he's a minor legend. Peter Finger comes to the Echoes living room to play music from his latest album OPEN STRINGS live.

COUNTING DOWN TO ZERO ONE
Zero One is the recording persona of Kevin Dooley, a reclusive electronic musician spinning out ambient designs from an anonymous loft above a car stereo and alarm installation company in San Bruno, California. His recent album, PROTOTYPE 2 (Waveform), is a hypnotic and subtly humorous foray into Kevin's mindstate over the last few years. We take a seat in his Zero One Earth Headquarters and lift off.
