HAROLD BUDD-A ROOMFUL OF AMBIENCE
Harold Budd is considered one of the pioneers of ambient music due to a series of albums he released in the 1980s on Brian Eno's ambient music series including PLATEAUX OF MIRROR and THE PEARL. After remarrying and bringing a new son into the world, he's put out another CD of introspective ruminations called THE ROOM (Atlantic). We talk with Harold Budd about exploring music inside four walls.

We peruse this year's Grammy nominees, finding Echoes artists in the Best Pop Instrumental, Best Dance Recording, Best World Music and Best Soundtrack recording categories. We'll hear them pick the winners and the ones who should have won.

A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH DAVID CULLEN
David Cullen was the lead artist for the very first Windham Hill Guitar Sampler recording. Since then he's been creating his own unique voice for acoustic guitar, playing a nylon stringed version and infusing his songs with jazz and blues influences on top of his classical training. David comes into the Echoes Living Room and plays music from throughout his career, including his latest CD, INDIGO BLUE (Solid Air).
