Internationally acclaimed artist Loreena McKennitt came to Echoes with her trio to perform live.

Loreena McKennitt, Brian Hughes and Caroline Lavelle, live on EchoesLoreena McKennitt first gained recognition for playing and singing Celtic music with her harp and pure soprano voice on albums like Parallel Dreams. With The Visit, she expanded her sound to embrace eastern elements and, with a trilogy of brilliant albums, The Mask & The Mirror, The Book of Secrets and An Ancient Muse, she created a crossroads of Middle Eastern and Celtic music.

Over the last few years, McKennitt has returned to her Celtic roots with albums like The Wind That Shakes the Barley.  With a more intimate performance ensemble featuring longtime guitarist Brian Hughes and cellist Caroline Lavelle, Loreena McKennitt played live on Echoes.   3. I first saw Miss Loreena McKennitt live at the Universal Amphitheater in Hollywood California and I have been hooked ever since. Oh, Do you remember a man yelling out “Marry me”! that was so awesome. You said “I don’t think you would like that.”.
