This weekend on Echoes, follow the vthe Varða [VAR-thah] to great music. Varða are cairns in Iceland marking pathways. It’s also the name of the new album by the Icelandic band, Hugar [WHO-gar]. Weekend listeners may also hear a live performance by French ambient chamber composer Yann Tiersen, famous for his score to the film, “Amelie.” Tiersen comes in with multiple keyboards, percussion, tubular bells and more to realize the sound of his latest album, All.
