This weekend on Echoes, singer Ayla Nereo comes in to play live. She’s a very special performer who touches on the ecstatic with a sound that hovers at the borders of singer-songwriters and new age music. One writer called her a modern day flower child. She writes songs about consciousness raising, the permaculture movement and decorates her music with nature metaphors. Her latest album is By the Light of the Dark Moon. She comes in to sing her ecstatic music live.
Weekend listeners may also hear a live performance from Greek composer, Theodore. Like Yanni and Vangelis he only uses his first name, but his music is nothing like theirs.
