Yagull Comes in to Play Live
It’s another acoustic to electornic weekend on Echoes. First up in a live performance by Yagull, the Japanese-Serbian duo who come out of classical and progressive rock music for an intimate duo of piano and guitar. They come in to play songs from their album, Yuna.
Weekend listeners may also hear us revisit an interview with CloZee, the stage name of French electronic composer, Chloe Herry. Just in her mid-20s, CloZee is touring the world and dropping singles and albums on Bandcamp at a prolific rate. Last year she released a full-on album called Evasion. We caught up with CloZee backstage at The Foundry in Philadelphia where she’d be playing that night. She talks about a sound that she has called “World Bass,” mixing sampled sounds of global instruments with her classical guitar. We bring you closer to CloZee on Echoes.
