Wednesday, March 20, 2019: Dead Can Dance Interview

Dead Can Dance Dishes Dionysus

On Echoes we’re going to dance with Dionysus, the Greek God of wine and love and all the good things in life. It’s the concept behind the latest album from Dead Can Dance, the long-lived duo of Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry. Perry takes us inside the concept of his Dionysus from dancing and the harvest to drugs.

Brendan Perry: I remember the first time I dropped LSD.  I was in a horrible old beaten up hotel and I remember sitting there with the guitar.  And just playing a chord, a chord, and it just sounded like a symphony.

Brendan Perry talks about the latest Dead Can Dance album, Dionysus , an Echoes CD of the Month.

Is it possible to ask a question or ring in to directly ask it?

PS – I’m a little confused. This took place Wed? Tonight is Sunday. So is the music prerecorded for tonight, Sunday 3/24, along with the interview?

It’s all pre-recorded. Where are you listening?
