Delia Derbyshire’s 80th Birthday

Delia Derbyshire would’ve turned 80 on May 5th. She’s a pioneering electronic musician who worked for the BBC Radiophonic Workshop in the 1960s and among her accomplishments is the original theme for the Doctor Who TV series. She influenced a generation of electronic musicians, among them, Tim Gane of Stereolab and Caverns of Anti-Matter and Orbital. We’ll talk to them and hear the music Delia Derbyshire influenced.
