Purity Ring Slip Another Album on Their Fingers
Purity Ring are a Canadian electronic music duo originally from Edmonton with singer Megan James and electronic musician Corin Roddick. I saw them at the Mountain Oasis Music Festival in 2013 where they were a last minute replacement for Tricky. Although they were dwarfed by the large arena venue with no staging James held the audience, confidently singing their bright synth-pop. Roddick held down the electronic side, surrounded by what looked like small Chinese lanterns that the two would strike with drum sticks although their effect was somewhat ambiguous. This new song “Begin Again is from their forthcoming album, Another Eternity sent for March 3 release.
