Echoes Goes Mobile!

There are big changes to Echoes On-Line so pay attention.
THE GREAT NEWS FIRST: It was a long time coming but its part way here. You can now listen to Echoes On-line with your iPhone, iPad, and Droid. And you can do it the same way you listen to Echoes now, except you don’t need RealPlayer. On your computer or mobile device browser, just navigate to Echoes On-Line, log-in, pick your listening pleasure, hit play, and you’re there. Be sure to update your browser to the latest version.
The background to this is we’ve changed our streaming format from RealPlayer to AAC.  So when you listen through your web browser like you have been, you can do it with an embedded Echoes Player that’s right there; no more launching RealPlayer.
But wait it gets better! If you have an iPhone, iPad or Droid you can listen anywhere there is a Wifi, 3G or 4G signal. There have been some issues with Droid phones.
You can hear an hour of The Best of Echoes 2012…So Far  for Free!
You can listen in your car
You can listen very far
You can hear us on the beach
You can hear Echoes wherever the internet can reach
And….the App is imminent.  Stay tuned.

It’s the perfect soundscape for tearing down the highway with the windows open streaming with Echoes Mobile.

JOYFULLY JULY ECHOES
Already this has been something of a monumental month on Echoes. You’ve heard a CD of the Month that will probably be one of our top five albums at years end, Marconi Union’s Different Colours. And speaking of Best of lists, you can dial up The Best of Echoes 2012 So Far. We’ve also pushed the edge with Living Room Concerts. You can hear Bill Frisell’s July 4th Living Room Concert with his Beautiful Dreamers trio and a striking and challenging duet performance between classical violinist Hilary Hahn and prepared piano player, Hauschka. Facebook Fans have already declared that one “Awesome Stuff!” While Hahn & Hauschka were sonically abstract, Ablaye Cissoko & Volker Goetze were searingly melodic and soulful in a live performance of African serenity. We also have some great interviews with Fall on Your Sword, Raygun Ballet, Blue Foundation, Geigertek and Todd Boston. Hear which one was a New Romantic, clairvoyant and mortician. Also, Sigur Ros and Dead Can Dance both have new CDs and are touring this month. Expect to hear them a lot.
