Moby Destroys Echoes Top 25for May.

Moby’s Destroyed Tops Echoes Top 25  for May

No surprise that Moby’s Destroyed was #1 on the Echoes Top 25 for May.  It was the Echoes CD of the Month.

Electronic music dominates the Top 10 with a surprise at #2, Divine Matrix’s Invisible Landscape leaping in.  This album of melodic glitch-flecked music came out of nowhere from David Wright’s AD label.  Vic Hennegan follows at #3 with his download release, Field of Worlds and Mirrors.  You can hear an interview with Vic talking about this album, on Tuesday, June 28.  Vicki Richards’ electric violin is still holding strong in the Top Five with her April CD of the Month, She Vanishes.  And rounding out the Top 5 is our June CD of the Month, Hope Dies Last by Winterlight, a wonderful CD of chilled, shoegaze-drenched electronica.  Look for it to be featured on Echoes Monday, June 6 and the following weekend.

There’s a lot of new names to the Echoes’ playlists and Top 25 this month.  Giorgio Li Calzi checks in with his electronica trumpet project Organum,  guitarist Gary Wager makes it with his debut CD, and Penguin Cafe, the resurrected Penguin Cafe Orchestra appears with their debut album.
