We travel along with McKennitt, whose narrative songs take us into an ancient land.

AMIINA PLAYS LIVE IN A LIVING ROOM CONCERT
Songs distilled through Icelandic air
Imagine Arvo Part played on a music box and you get close to the mix of charm and contemplation mixed up by Amiina. They started out as a string quartet, touring with Iceland's Sigur Ros, but on their own, they play musical saws, bells, wine glasses, metalophones, nyckleharpes and yes, a music box. They came into the Echoes living room and entranced us with music from their EP and a peek at their forthcoming CD, as they play live on Echoes.

A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH THE ALBUM LEAF
Ambient chamber rock comes alive
Ambient music isn't just the realm of electronic and dance artists. Jimmy LaValle is a punk rocker who founded the alt-progressive guitar band, Tristeza. As The Album Leaf, he creates a more intimate ambient chamber rock music, with multiple keyboards providing Enoesque landscapes with violin melodies and seductive rhythms. At Black Box Recording Studios in San Diego, he brings his band in to play live.
