A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH HAROLD BUDD Pianist and composer Harold Budd plays a solo concert live
on Echoes. Budd was in on the ground floor of ambient music,
recording on Brian Eno's Obscure label and releasing AMBIENT 2:
PLATEAUX OF MIRROR. On Budd's new album, LA BELLA VISTA (Shout
Factory Records) he teams up with his old cohort, producer Daniel
Lanois, for a series of solo piano meditations. We'll hear him
recreate the experience in a spontaneous performance live on Echoes.
NIGEL SHAW'S TRIBAL AMBIENCES Nigel Shaw is an English composer who has spent most of his

ANCESTORS (Seventh Wave Records), Nigel took recordings of Northern
tribes including the Sami from Finland, and wove them into his
own tapestry along with his wife, singer Carolyn Hillyer. In
their loft barn studio, Nigel and Carolyn talk about touching
an ancient spirit with modern hands.

In his English studio, Holroyd talks about making library music
and adapting the sound of the world form musicians he's never
AN ECHOES HALLOWEEN Lock the doors, close the windows, turn off the lights and

and chills for Halloween.
