A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH TINA MALIA Singer-songwriter Tina Malia performs live on Echoes from
her Marin County home. A child of the sixties even though she's
only 24, Tina Malia is a gifted guitarist and pianist, who draws
her inspiration from a pastoral vision of the world, with influences
ranging from Joni Mitchell and Loreena McKennitt. In her Marin
County home, Malia gathers some of the musicians who crash in
her apartment to perform the delicate melodies and lithe harmonies
of her music, heard on her debut CD, SHORES OF AVALON (Omtown).
JEFF PEARCE BLEEDS Ambient guitarist Jeff Pearce emerges from the drone zone
of his last few recordings with his most melodic and melancholic
album in years. It's called BLEED (Hypnos) and it's inspired by
the emotional trauma he relived while reading through some journals
he wrote when he was a teenager. He also talks about "Through
Tears" a piece he recorded while watching the events of 9-11
unfold which debuted on an Echoes Requiem in October, 2001.
