SOUND TRIBE SECTOR NINE: ARTIFACTS OF THE FUTURE
Sound Tribe Sector Nine calls themselves a collective, integrating guest musicians, multimedia artists and even the audiences at their live shows into their expansive musical concept. Fundamentally a band of accomplished instrumentalists, STS9 has made computer-based looping and sampling an integral part of both their live shows and recording process. Guitarist Hunter Brown and bassist David Murphy talk about the intersection of electronica and improvisation that's heard on their latest CD ARTIFACT.
