AN AMBIENT SUMMER SOLSTICE CELEBRATION
WITH STEVE ROACH, ROBERT RICH, JONN SERRIE AND JEFF PEARCE
Echoes celebrates the summer solstice this year with a special live performance recorded during last year's summer solstice at the Whitaker Science and Art Center in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in a collaboration with Echoes, the Whitaker Center and Echoes affiliate, WITF in Harrisburg. Jeff Pearce journeys from Indiana to unfold the intricacy of his solo ambient guitar meditations. Bay area musician Robert Rich sets up a primal percussive throb with synthesizer textures, flutes and lap steel guitar. Out of the desert of Tucson, Steve Roach arrives to conjure summer thunder at the edge of the abyss in his techno-tribal dervish. Jonn Serrie travels from Atlanta, Georgia to walk the spaceways of his synthesized planetarium music. On the longest day of the year, Echoes creates a soundscape that causes the night to pulse.
