Monday, September 26, 2016-Echoes Program 1639A

In Concert with The Album Leaf.

A lot of electronic groups simply plug and play. The Album Leaf actually performs. Founder Jimmy LaValle comes from live bands like The Locust and Tristeza and he brings that same live, on-the-edge urgency to concerts by his ambient rock band, The Album Leaf. The Album Leaf was on the leading edge of Post-rock, creating glitch strewn, melodic and ambient rock landscapes that embodied everything that the word “cinematic” implies. Almost every song on Between Waves has the feel of scenery streaming past a train window, a non-stop, yet shifting panorama of sound. The band has released their 6th full-length album, and it continues their evocative sound.
