It’s like an emergency room on the next Echoes. We’ll hear from Tennessee singer songwriter Julien Baker from her album, Sprained Ankle along with Cliff Martinez’s electronic score to the 1901 hospital drama, The Knick.Cliff Martinez has been making brilliant and personal movie scores for years, going back to films like Sex, Lies and Videotape, Traffic and Solaris. He teams up with long time collaborator, film director Steven Soderbergh for the Cinemax series, The Knick. Even though it’s set in 1901 New York, the score is a combination of electronics, American Gamelon and Baschet sound sculptures. And it works perfectly for the often dark themes of the series. The doctor is in with John Diliberto on Echoes.
